Read Your Book Case - Studio Saporiti has created alphabetical and numerical bookshelf casings, which allows customers to choose individual letters to spell words, phrases and dates.

Book Shelf Porn is another one of the awesome Tumblr accounts that are popping up all over the place from people who are genuinely passionate about a specific (and often super random) topic.

It also happens to be created by one of our favourite creatives, Anthony Dever from Robot Circus

Bookshelf made from skateboard decks by Taylor Hamilton.

This new parenting book hasn’t even been released yet and it’s already number one on the Amazon hit list by pre-prders alone.

EDIT: This gets even better. Check out the full story of how internet piracy and a great e-book title can get you to the top of Amazon before you’ve even put a book together. (via the Bay Citizen)

The Man In Blue is an interesting dude… Like me, he seems keen to dabble in a lot of different creative pursuits. From design to writing code, the guy seems to be across everything interesting on the internet – even music production.

His latest effort is titled Anatomy of a Mashup: Definitive Daft Punk and I’m pretty sure if you have eyes and/or ears, you are going to love it.
While far from technically mind blowing, it’s the MIB’s creative execution of a very simple idea that is most impressive.

Ever thought of a feature in Facebook you wanted to change or add? Well so did this guy… So he’s built an entire website dedicated to pointing out all the things he could do better than Mark Zuckerberg and the Facebook design team.

It’s actually less humorous than what you might expect from a blog with the word Yo in the title, but we’re not posting this one because it’s funny… We think it’s ace because Youssef Sarhan saw something he wanted to change and he’s actually gone out there and done something about it.

We wanted to start documenting cool stuff we saw online, so in early 2010 we started That’s Ace.

What cool stuff are you building…?
We’d love to share it with the world!

You know those ideas that are so rad and so new that when someone tells you about them you don’t really care… And then you actually see what they are talking about and BAM you understand why they were so excited in the first place?

These things are those that are them.

Entire movies, condensed into a single barcode image.

You can even buy some sweet prints of them for your wall.
And no, we don’t make any commission on them… I may just buy one too.

It may may be a few hours late but this week’s Free Music Friday is an absolute must for any fellow Pink Floyd fans, along with anyone who always loved a bit of Nintendo Game Boy action.

Brought to you by the self proclaimed “video game net label”, Pterodactyl Squad has asked a bunch of producers to reproduce an 8-bit version of each track from my favourite album of all time, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon.

The resulting digital homage is both hilarious and awesome, as are the digital reproductions of other epic metal bands and even a Weezer classic.
Check em out at PteSquad.com
While it’s already become painfully obvious that our Free Music Friday feature may not happen EVERY Friday, what we can promise is some seriously hot shit when it does eventually drop.

This hip-hop instrumental mixtape from New York producer Clams Casino is chock full of the kind of epic soundscapes that make you wish you can run harder, rhyme faster or maybe even live a little better.
Created in the modernisto environment of his Rhode Island attic, it could easily be mistaken as a demo tape from artists as wide-ranging as The Knife & Bjork to Mobb Deep, for whom Clams Casino has already produced beats.

According to his personal homepage, Bart Jellema is a born computer wizard. He is also the founder of some of the most positive and innovative startups in the Australian tech industry, more information about this is also available on his site.

But that’s not why you should go there.
You need to check out BartJellema.com because it’s the digital equivalent of the awesomely crap birthday card that you can’t help opening four or five times in the newsagent, just to see how much it annoys the store owner.

And because nothing is better than annoying text following your mouse around a green page.

I think I already wrote a post about these boots when I first saw the Nike campaign last year but for some reason they have been in my head all day and I had to look them up again. Not only are the boots unbelievably rad, but I figured out why they were in my head… It’s the damn catchy tune Kass used on his Yellow Submarine-esque video for the collab with Seattle artist Arbito

Landshare

Landshare is an idea and effort initiated by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall of River Cottage fame and is based on the simple principle of matching people who want to grow things to people who have idle or excess land to grow something on. Fitting neatly into the new world mantra of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle under the newest category – Redistribute… The idea of collaborative consumption is gaining momentum and Landshare is a perfect example — allowing an unutilized resource (land) to be put back into effective use. And the really excellent news about Landshare is that it is now in Australia (the only other country outside the UK)  – LandshareAustralia!

Whether he makes you laugh or makes you proud as punch to live in a world full of bullshit, Wikileaks founder and figurehead Julian Assange is a character we have all become familiar with in recent times.

“But what about the children!?” I hear you ask… “How will they come to know this courageous yet frighteningly pale dude?”

Welcome to the Julian Assange Colouring Book where your offspring can paint this man whatever colour they like.

I have only made one post in the past few weeks due to lack of internet connectivity etc but it turns out even that one never appeared.

The only thing worse than an undelivered, out of context Christmas post is a lame excuse… So just enjoy the work of a die hard metal fan who posted this video to his young daughter’s youtube account in 2009, and the awesome follow up vid from a few weeks ago. Even if you hate metal (and you’re the Grinch), you have to love the original description this uber bogan left on his post
