I’m sure most of you are familiar with David Thorne‘s work over at the utterly brilliant 27bslash6.com

If not, maybe start with this infamous and extremely funny email thread he posted between himself and a fairly self-involved receptionist hoping to find her cat.

His humour is dry and unmistakably Australian, often using articulate, verbose email threads to highlight recent hypocrisy or downright stupidity.
However in this case, after a particularly unpleasant experience with a local snowboard store, he created this ad to totally screw them over.

And boy, did it work.
The hilarious results can be read here but for those who can’t be bothered reading the whole thing, here is my favourite part

Yes, I am pretty sure if I ran a snowboardsurfing shop the last thing I would want is people new to the sport mistakenly entering my premises with the intention of exchanging goods for money. What a bunch of ‘loosers’. You should probably have that on your front door instead of the welcome sign. Otherwise, people might read the word ‘welcome’ and mistakenly think they are welcome.
Perhaps you could incorporate a sign similar to the ‘You must be this tall to ride’ kind displayed at carnivals, but amend it to ‘You must be this cool to enter’ with a big red arrow pointing to photos of Fatty, Tattooey and Fuzzy.

But that’s not why you should go there.
You need to check out BartJellema.com because it’s the digital equivalent of the awesomely crap birthday card that you can’t help opening four or five times in the newsagent, just to see how much it annoys the store owner.

heavy metal christmas lights

I have only made one post in the past few weeks due to lack of internet connectivity etc but it turns out even that one never appeared.

The only thing worse than an undelivered, out of context Christmas post is a lame excuse… So just enjoy the work of a die hard metal fan who posted this video to his young daughter’s youtube account in 2009, and the awesome follow up vid from a few weeks ago. Even if you hate metal (and you’re the Grinch), you have to love the original description this uber bogan left on his post
